What is a root smudge or root melt?
Wanting a seamless blend with your lightening service? This is the salon experience for you if you like the brightness that highlights give you, but you don’t want the 4-8 week maintenance. With proper at-home maintenance, a root smudge can give you up to 8 extra weeks between sessions. Pricing varies depending on client needs and hair condition.

GREY BLENDING
We are so happy to offer this customized color experience to our array of services.  Offering a gradual growing out process is one of our specialties.  Your first session will often be a 5+ hour process, but this allows for future sessions to be simple maintenance.  We also will recommend at-home maintenance products that will extend the life of your desired outcome. 

All grey blending services are individualized, so pricing is based on the particular grey pattern and the desired outcome.

OTHER THINGS TO CONSIDER
Time–Good color takes time.  Please allow for at least 3 hours when scheduling your appointment, especially if you are a new client.

Children–Please also note that our salon is not child-friendly, especially for a color appointment. Salons have chemicals and sharp implements that are dangerous for little ones. While we love seeing the littles, we just cannot accommodate them in our salon during your service appointment. We don’t have the extra seating for them, and if they cannot sit quietly for 3+ hours, then it will be disruptive to our other guests who have come to our space seeking relaxation and self care. We appreciate your understanding in this as we strive to provide a relaxing atmosphere for all our guests.

Discussing Budgets–All of our prices are starting prices and are based on client needs and time allotted. We want to help you achieve the look you desire, and we will consult with you before beginning a service. Please feel free to openly discuss pricing at this time. There is no shame in a budget! Also know that pricing can fluctuate depending on current condition of hair.

Getting to Know You + Your Hair–If you are unsure about what type of appointment to book, we offer complimentary 15 minute consultations, available for booking through our online booking link. We also welcome you to book a New Client Haircut, which is a 1 hour session. It includes a shampoo experience in our super comfortable reclining shampoo area and a blow out, and it is an excellent way for you to talk at length with your stylist about your hair goals.

Our Hair Can Change for Many Reasons– Pricing also depends on the current state of the hair. What works during one season may not work during another. At the beginning of every appointment, your stylist will consult with you about your goals and what can be achieved in that session. Please feel free to discuss pricing and budgets at this time as we want to work with you to achieve your dream hair.
